Joseph "Lucky" Lennox
has been a mariner all his life
and a painter for most of that time. From sailboats to steam tug
boats, from steel deck ships and tankers, he has been influenced
especially by S.T. Coleridge's The Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner.
Lucky works primarily in oil with a palette knife, though putty
knife, carpentry chisels, 16d nails and fingers also suffice. He
prefers expressionist views of ocean, ships and dream states, as
well as impressionistic portraiture.
